Stay Connected with Us

We are excited to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year!  On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, our amazing staff greeted over 12,800 learners for the start of what is sure to be a memorable school year!

As we begin the journey, we wanted to pass along a few opportunities for you to stay connected with us throughout the school year.  These include:

  • QuickNews:  This bi-weekly e-newsletter will provide you with the most important news about all things LPS!  You must subscribe to receive this e-newsletter, so if you are not already a subscriber to QuickNews, we encourage you to click here to get signed up.

  • Social Media:  Another great way to stay connected is by following us on our various social media platforms.  They include:  Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.  All of our schools are also equipped with individual social media pages, and we encourage you to follow those as well!

  • Website:  Our website is the primary source of information about the district. Parents, students, staff, and community members can find the most up-to-date information, news stories, calendar events, resources, and contact information there.  You can find us at

  • Mobile App:  Download our free mobile app by simply going to the app store and entering "Liberty Public Schools".  This is where you will find All Things LPS right at your fingertips!

  • Finally, we will again be using Blackboard as our mass notification system provider.  If the need ever arises that we must communicate with you either at the building or district level, we will do so by either a mass phone or email message.  This includes inclement weather day messages, early releases, or any other school-related messages that need to be communicated immediately.

As always, if you have any questions or need further assistance to help make your LPS experience enjoyable, we encourage you to reach out to your child's school directly, or reach out to us at the District Administration Center at 816-736-5300.

Thank you for your support of Liberty Public Schools, and have a great start to the 2019-2020 school year!
