    What is EDGE? 
    EDGE is a globally focused microschool serving 9th - 12th grade students residing within Liberty Public Schools. Students from Liberty High School and Liberty North High School can apply for EDGE. EDGE is located at Liberty High School, 200 Blue Jay Drive, Liberty, MO 64068. 

    What is a microschool? 
    Microschools are the result of rethinking the traditional educational model to better prepare learners for the future. They are small environments where students are empowered to personalize their own educations and are held accountable for their own progress. - Definition adapted from Microschool Revolution

    When did EDGE open to students? 
    EDGE opened to students in the 2021 - 2022 school year. We are currently in our 2nd year.

    Can Liberty North students attend EDGE? 
    Yes! EDGE is an option for any student that is enrolled in Liberty Public Schools. Students must complete the EDGE interest form and interview to be considered. Visit our Enrollment page for more information.

    Can my student compete in a MSHSAA activity if they are part of EDGE?
    Yes. Students are able to compete in MSHSAA activities as long as they meet MSHSAA eligibility. 

    Can I still participate in activities at my high school? 
    Yes. EDGE students are still considered students of the home high school and may participate in activities sponsored by the home high school. 

    How do EDGE students perform on standardized assessments? 
    During the 2021-2022 school year, EDGE students had the opportunity to enroll in two Advanced Placement courses: AP Language and AP Seminar. EDGE AP Language students had a mean score of 3.67, compared to a MO average of 2.88 and a global average of 2.83. EDGE AP Seminar students had a mean score of 3.86, compared to a MO average of 3.05 and a global average of 3.2. 

    EDGE juniors & seniors earned an ACT average composite of 23.5, compared to a national average of 20.6.

    What is the EDGE schedule?
    EDGE students enroll in two courses at their home high school, and take five courses within EDGE. This allows students to still access high school course offerings that are not available within EDGE.

    I'm an educator from another district and would like to visit EDGE. How do I schedule a visit?
    We welcome thought partners and would love to collaborate with you! Please reach out to Sara Wickham to discuss your interest in visiting and determine the best format for your needs. Visitors are also required to complete the LPS Site Visit Request form.
