    • Meet with counselors

    • Visit with college or military representatives

    • Read or practice mindfulness exercises

    • Take a walk on our indoor track (outside two lanes only)

    • Peer mentor opportunities

    • Participate in programming in support of the Graduate Profile

Some of the key logistical components of the Flex period are:

    • Students currently have a Flex period assigned on their schedule. All students are currently assigned to Dr. Sharp or Mrs. Wiederholt for scheduling purposes only.

    • Schedule changes based on Flex period alone will not be considered.

    • Flex locations for the 23/24 school year will be Academic Labs,  Learning Stairs, LMC and the Blackbox.

    • All 9th grade students are assigned to the Blackbox for Flex.

    • Students Flex periods are visible on the LHS 2023-2024 Student ID.

    • All students should have participated in a flex orientation the first three days of school.

    • 9th grade students are required to stay on campus during their Flex period unless they have 1st or 8th hour Flex.

    • 9th grade students are  required to be on campus on Wednesday for lessons with JayCrew student leaders.

    • 10th, 11th and 12th grade students are eligible to Flex off-campus as long as they have a completed LPS HS OFF-Campus Permission Form completed by a parent/guardian.

    • Students must declare their desired Flex location before 8:00 am each school day.

    • Students use https://flextimemanager.com/login to declare their desired Flex location.

    • Students leaving campus must enter and exit the main entrance doors. Students that exit the building from a restricted door will lose Flex travel privileges and face potential disciplinary consequences.

    • Students must scan out with security before leaving campus.

    • Outside food is not permitted on campus.

    • No leaving campus on Wednesday due to an abbreviated schedule.

    • All attendance policies apply to students returning from off campus. Students are expected to return to campus before their next assigned class. Students that are late will be assigned a tardy and students that are more than 15 minutes late will be assigned an unverified absence.

    • Flex period privileges can be revoked at any time for academic performance, attendance or behavioral issues.
