• Progress as Promised

Thanks to the resounding passage of the April 2018 bond issue, it has been a busy few years completing various construction projects across the District.

Many of the projects took place as soon as students and staff left buildings in late May 2019, and were wrapped up when students returned for classes in August 2019.  Included on this page you will find a project by project summary detailing the work and the benefits that each provides.  Two of the largest projects among those on the docket, an academic wing at Liberty North High School and a Performing Arts Theater at Liberty High School, were completed in August 2020.

Franklin Elementary:  It was quite a makeover for Liberty’s oldest elementary school, as Franklin was completely vacated over the summer with the school receiving all new ceilings and LED lights.  A wing was also added to the southeast side of the building, adding classroom space and a new cafeteria for the building.

Manor Hill Elementary:  As part of the district’s safety and security audit, Manor Hill saw a significant reconfiguration of its entry way.  Visitors will immediately notice the update when walking into the building, as they will be guided and then greeted by friendly faces at the front counter upon entering the building.  Office and meeting space are also included in the renovation.

Lillian Schumacher Elementary:  Similar to Manor Hill, the building at Lillian Schumacher Elementary received quite a makeover during the summer months.  A secure entry to the building has been constructed with new office and meeting space available for everyone to enjoy.

Liberty High School:  Despite not being an improvement that visitors may notice, the Blue Jays saw a significant update to their HVAC system.  In addition, several restroom renovations occurred.  LHS will be anxious and excited to unveil their new Performing Arts Theater later in the spring.

Early Childhood Center:  Construction work occurred on both sides of the facility over the summer, with work concluding just after the start of the school year in August.  Staying with the safety and security theme, the ECC now has an updated entry point for visitors when entering the east side of the facility.  Additional renovations took place to add meeting rooms and maximizing space.

Heritage Middle School:  Much needed renovation work of several restrooms at HMS was completed, continuing efforts to stay up-to-date with upgrades, despite being one of the oldest facilities in the district.

Several of our building principals have provided video tours of their new renovated spaces.  These can be viewed by clicking the YouTube panels below.  Additional updates will be provided in the coming months when other projects are completed.
