     Emporia State University: Corky's Corner

    Emporia State offices will close for winter break December 23 through January 5. During this time, there will be two planned website outages for maintenance purposes. All emporia.edu webpages will be down December 29-30 and January 3-5. At this time, students will not be able to view the website or submit an application and anyone trying to access the site will get a 404 error page. 

    Encourage your students to join us for the ESU High School Business Career Day on January 26. Students will learn about careers in business with breakout sessions, an ESU student panel and more from 8:00AM-12:30PM. Refreshments will be provided, as well as prizes! Register with Beth Ginter at eginter@emporia.edu by December 22.

    Kansas City Art Institute: Early Action Deadline

    Your students can qualify for significant merit-based scholarships when applying to KCAI by February 1, 2022. Our online application is quick and simple to complete, and we will waive the application fee when they submit the application by February 1st!

    Missouri Western State University: Future Filmaker Festival & Go Griffs Weekly

    Missouri Western State University’s Performance and Cinematic Arts Department is going to host a Future Filmmaker Festival on February 25th. This event will give high school students an opportunity to develop their filmmaking talents, showcase their work, receive professional feedback, and of course, participate in a little friendly competition! Select films will premiere at the Griffon Film Festival! Professor Thomas Brecheisen, cinema@missouriwestern.edu, will be providing more details but I wanted to make sure to let you know about this so you can pass it along to teachers, club sponsors, etc. Click here for the link!

    As a reminder, UCM'S application fee of $30 is waived until January 1st and there is an upcoming deadline of Feb. 1st for our foundation scholarships.
