Teacher Biography

  • Michelle Davis is in her 23rd year of teaching. Previously, she directed the middle school orchestras and beginning strings in Oak Park Illinois, and from there, directed the Warner Middle School Orchestras in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Currently, she is in her sixth year as the Orchestra Director of the Youth Symphony of Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra. She received her Bachelors in Viola Performance with a Masters in Music Education at The University of Michigan. She teaches private violin and viola students and enjoys watching her students grow up to be wonderful members of society. Michelle is married to Steve Davis, Director of Bands and The University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance, and has a CRAZY Yorkie mix named THOMAS! Michelle is very close to her sisters: her twin sister, Melissa, and her older sister, Mindie. She enjoys traveling to Michigan every chance she gets to visit her niece, Molly, and her two nephews: Jacob and Shane.
